Barto Funeral Home

Barto Funeral Home has been in business since 1923, when Stanley Barto bought Joldersma Funeral Home.  It was originally on Turner street and moved to Quarry and Myrtle St. across from SS Peter & Paul Church on Nov 1, 1954 by Stanley's son, Bernard "Bunny" Barto.  A new chapel and office was added on in 1972.  Gerard Barto took over the business from his dad, Bunny, in 1974.  Jerry unexpectedly passed away on Dec. 26, 2004. 

I, Amy Fellows, bought Barto Funeral Home and have been running it since March 2005. I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI on the southeast side of town. I went to school for Mortuary Science in Atlanta. I worked for Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home in Sparta, before taking ownership of Barto Funeral Home. I enjoy my profession, especially serving the families.  I am very family orientated, not only personally and spiritually, but professionally as well.  This funeral home is small and dedicated to meeting all of my clientelle's wishes.  Thank you for visiting our website.
